How Vietnamese Businesses Navigate ESG Requirements from Their Global Customers

Abstract

This project examines how Vietnamese businesses understand, interpret, and respond to environmental, social, and governance requirements imposed by global customers and international markets. Based on qualitative interviews with businesses of different sizes, industry associations, financial institutions, non-governmental organisations, universities, research institutes, and international organisations, the study explores how ESG expectations are translated into practice under real commercial, financial, and institutional constraints.
